As a freelance U.S. History subject matter expert, you will write and review online homework materials for undergraduate U.S. History courses. Visit aplia.com and try out some of our demos to get an idea of the type of content we write.

This is a freelance, off-site position. However, ideally the candidate will be able to visit our Belmont, CA or Boston, MA office for training.

Requirements:

- Master's degree in History
- Current, or recent, experience teaching undergraduate U.S. History courses
- Ability to write creative and engaging homework questions, answers, and explanations
- Broad and current knowledge/experience in U.S. History
- Excellent knowledge of grammar and command of the English language
- Top-notch written and oral communication skills
- At least 35-40 hours of availability per week
- IBM compatible PC, or the ability to run a dual boot Windows/OSX operation environment

Preferred Qualifications:
- PhD in History (concentration in U.S. History)
- Formal editorial / writing experience
