PHP Contractor Wanted
We are a small, growing company with a big web presence, looking for an intermediate/advanced-level PHP programmer to assist our team in enhancing, managing and expanding our current site.
We're looking for a developer who writes clean and elegant code and has a keen eye for maintainability.
Good web design skills are a big plus (experience with html, java, photoshop, and/or indesign) with the ability to work easily with css templates with graphic elements.
Additionally, experience with mobile-compatible website design and social media integration are a plus.
Our site serves millions of pageviews a month to renters and property managers. Think you're up for it? Send us a resume and code sample. We're looking forward to hearing from you. For the right candidate, this will be an ongoing relationship, with a steady number of hours per month.
You MUST be local enough to meet with our programming team IN PERSON once or twice per month.
Required:
* BS degree in computer science or similar field
* 3+ years professional experience in general web development
* 2+ years professional PHP development
* 2+ years MySQL development (admin experience a plus)
* Expert understanding of object-oriented coding practices
* Intermediate CSS/HTML skills
Preferred:
* Experience with the Smarty templating system
* Experience with SVN or similar source control
* Experience with latest-generation frameworks such as Ruby on Rails or Django
* Javascript/AJAX coding experience
* Photoshop experience
* Porfolio of websites showing your graphic design contributions
